C&IS IN LOS ANGELES is open to all undergraduates at the University of Alabama. Preference is given to C&IS students and JCM majors, but students from across campus who are passionate about careers in the entertainment or news industry will be considered. There is no GPA requirement, although a 3.0 GPA in your major (and 2.5 overall GPA) is recommended to be competitive. Ideal candidates for this program have a passion for learning about the entertainment industry, some campus involvement, perhaps internship experience from campus or local businesses (although this is not required), or have work experience, a record of creative activity from course projects or passion projects, have participated in student organizations or other activities that can demonstrate office skills, technical skills, training or some preparation for an intensive industry experience.

- A one-page resume (pdf file) that details your previous internships, work experience, activity on campus and/or creative work.
- Name and email addresses for two academic references, preferably faculty or staff at the University of Alabama.
- An unofficial transcript detailing your college coursework (pdf file)
- Short answers to the following questions that will appear in the linked application:
- Why do you want to study in Los Angeles?
- What courses have you taken that have best prepared your for this intensive program?
- What area(s) of the entertainment industry interest you? What is your dream career?
- Have you had any previous internship? What are your dream internships in Los Angeles?
